Fail Luck Club

There are several reasons why I fail at life.

#1. Out of 589 housing lottery numbers, I got 582. (For this sophomore year. That was pretty fail, I have to admit.)
#2. Econ test had everything I didn't study for.
#3. Government pop quiz on the same day of my econ test...also the ONLY day I didn't do the government reading.
#4. Prereg. I only really got 1 class I wanted out of all 4. All the other classes are full.
#5 and the last thing I will complain about. I didn't get to vote because my absentee ballot got lost in the mail or somewhere in the application process. In any case, I called the absentee ballot a billion times but they never sent it to me. Even though it didn't matter (NY), but I wanted to participate in this historic election.

BUT everything will turn out alright because it always does. I believe in it.

ANYWAY responses to my comments to my last post!

Eric Chan- I know. It snowed many places...just not here. :( Sadness. I can't wait to see you though! Haha also, I don't want to be completely antisocial. I'd just like to have life slow down for a bit. I hear they're raising metrocard prices, so I might be able to save a few dollars if I just stay home. :] Will you really cover for me for Todai? Naw, I feel bad. We should get together and play mah jong though (that I can afford!). Good luck to you too on your work!! Gambatte! We can do it!!!

Anoni- I like you because you're feisty and mysterious. haha :) I also apparently gave you a cute nickname because I'm too lazy to type out anonymous. First of all, I'm not fat but Bob was. Second of all, glad you appreciate all my econ lingo and puns! Third of all, I'm not sure how well you know me, but I HATE the Joy Luck Club. I named this post in honor of you. I think it sucks and doesn't represent Chinese Americans very well. I hated the characters (waverly? seriously?) My literary brain would like to excuse it as "a story unique to Amy Tan and therefore cannot be judged" but we all know that's BS and I'm begging for an A. However, it is indisputably Asian American literature...because it's about Chinese people in America and their experience. Sorry if I offended you by calling it so. We can definitely have a hate date on it if you want! :)

Yida- I definitely maybe want to meet up afterwards or something. I wouldn't know what we'd do though. I know majors don't restrict me to certain jobs, but I can't imagine myself doing anything economically relevant. I don't know. I'm still debating. I think I might actually be more interested in business economics than econ theory (calc repels me), which sucks cause Wesleyan is not very business-y. Maybe I can contact alumni and get an internship! :P I still got 4 months to decide. Isn't it exciting? Speaking of which, what's your major? Are you still in business? I just began economics this year. I seriously feel like a lost soul. lol, I hate going to a liberal arts college. (JK)

David H- HA. Yea right. I'd rather quit school and work at McDonalds.

King- Epically long comment! :) I love you! I hope everything is going well with you know what! ;) I love sincerity so I thank you for that long thoughtful post. I dropped premed last year cause I realized it was a waste of my time since being a doctor is very different from what I thought it to be. At least in this capitalist society. I liked government so I thought it would be great to be a government major. And then I took econ this year and discovered I liked that too! (Fundamentally very interesting.) I love the theories, don't quite like the math. It's tolerable though. I'm doing well in Econ so it's making me hopeful. Aghh I don't know. It's probably not a good idea for me to major in Econ too cause that means I can't study abroad. Or it might be highly unlikely. I'm going to try really hard though. Wow, I think this post isn't making sense anymore, I'm sorry. I'm very conflicted about what I should do. I'm going to see how my Econ class next semester turns out to decide for sure. :) Thanks a lot <3! By the way, what's your major?

I love all the silly moments we had together. Squared. :)

  1. I was pretty sure about finance before September this year, but many (bad) things have happened since then.
I'll probably still pick finance, with a co-major in economics or accounting or statistics. Have to decide on the co-major soon.

And sorry to hear that about your class registration. Happened to me last year for the current semester, made me want to find people and kill them so spots would open up.
